Welcome to Skills Academy for Health South East

The South East is the third largest of all the English regions, and its population at 8.2 million is the largest of any region. Within the South East there are 2 Strategic Health Authorities, NHS South East Coast, and NHS South Central.

NHS South East coast covers the counties of Kent, Medway, Sussex and Surrey, and has 26 NHS organisations, including 5 Foundation Trusts, 8 Primary Care Trusts, 13 NHS Acute Trusts, 4 Mental Health or Specialist Trusts and 1 Ambulance Trust.

NHS South Central covers the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. There are 24 NHS organisations, including 9 Primary Care Trusts, 1 Ambulance Trust, 9 Acute Trusts, (including 4 NHS Foundation Trusts), 3 Mental Health Trusts, (2 of which are Foundation Trusts.) and a Learning Disability Trust.
