The Academy has also developed a ‘Health Box’ which seeks to collect information from employers in the sector and map it to the 14-19 Curriculum. This has been very well received and is being distributed to school and colleges to support delivery of the diploma.
A further meeting has taken place with the regional Academy representative from the Teaching Public Health Network to identify the use of the Level 2 Public Health Certificate for all frontline staff. Key areas of activity have been identified for Level 1 and Level 2 as part of a bigger initiative and work is ongoing to identify funding and sustainability options.
The Skills Academy is currently part of the Joint Investment Framework and the 'Test the NHS' steering group and will be hoping to identify a pilot group for delivery of the C&G 9297 to support the ‘Test the NHS’ and Skills for Life agenda in the region.
