  • E-Learning Instructional Designer

    The post holder will be responsible for the design and authoring of e-learning content for the WD Trust e-learning portfolio.

    Working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other members of the Technical Development Team, the role will involve:

    • Establishing the requirements of the e-learning courses in conjunction with the stakeholders
    • Where required, researching the subject area of the courses
    • Conducting a target audience analysis for the e-learning courses with SMEs and conducting focus groups if required
    • Establishing an appropriate learning approach dependent on the course requirements and target audience analysis and discuss this with the SMEs
    • Creating a lesson plan and storyboards using the relevant software and sourcing additional assets as required for the e-learning courses in collaboration with the SMEs
    • Managing the SME relationship during course development
    • Ensuring the storyboards are accurate and complete in a timely and efficient manner
    • Working with WDT resources and expertise, develop the content to reflect the storyboard designs, to ensure the final version is of high quality from both a technical and educational perspective
    • Ensuring content meets a range of design, educational and accessibility standards
    • Providing template design and course design solutions in collaboration with E-learning Developer expertise to meet the needs of non-standard e-learning courses or bespoke projects (e.g. problem solving activities, systems training, diagnostic tools etc.) as is required by the project or the needs of the sector
    • Supporting other internal projects with expert advice

Associate opportunity

We have an Associate assessor opportunity for 'Level 5 Award in Investigating Serious Incidents in Health Care'. The successful associates will have experience of working in a health setting and must have up to date occupational knowledge along with occupational competences.
